Beginner Paddle board trips

Boats moored on a calm canal at sunset.

Our paddleboard trips are designed to be calm, and confidence‑building — ideal for anyone stepping onto a board for the very first time. Every session begins with a simple, supportive introduction where we cover balance, paddling technique, steering, and how to feel stable on the water.

Our paddleboarding routes are carefully chosen to give beginners the calmest, most enjoyable introduction to life on the water.

Each location offers sheltered stretches, gentle flow, and wide open space — ideal for finding your balance and practising your paddle strokes.

You’ll be guided throughout the trip, with plenty of time to practise, settle in, and enjoy the scenery at your own pace

These beginner‑friendly environments mean you can focus on enjoying the experience — the reflections on the water, the wildlife around you, and the peaceful feeling of gliding through nature — all while knowing you’re supported every moment of the way.

Whether it’s your first time or you’re returning to build on what you’ve learned, our routes make paddleboarding accessible, relaxed, and genuinely rewarding.

Equipment

We provide all the essential equipment you’ll need for your paddleboard trip, including a high‑quality paddleboard, adjustable paddle, and a buoyancy aid.

Everything is prepared for you on arrival, so you can step straight onto the water with confidence.

We ask that you bring a change of clothes and wear suitable clothing for being on the water. Closed‑toe shoes are recommended, as they offer better grip and protection when launching and landing your board, as well as portaging (walking around) a lock.

If you prefer to bring your own kit, you’re very welcome to do so. For safety, all participants must wear a properly fitted buoyancy aid, and any personal boards must be used with a quick‑release belt. This ensures you can detach safely and quickly if needed while still staying connected to your board.
